A Shift in the Air & The Field Notes Collection

Disclaimer: This visual mood board includes a blend of my own studio photographs and imagery curated via Pinterest to set the mood and story for the Field Notes Collection.
There is a distinct chill in the morning air now. As summer gently fades into fall, I find myself stepping into this new season with open arms—and a studio full of reclaimed clay.

Reclaiming clay is rarely my favorite part of the process, but there is a quiet satisfaction in seeing the studio restock piece by piece. Along with fresh stock, I’ve been making a few quaint jewelry bowls that I think you’re going to fall in love with.

In the middle of preparing new work, I was drawn to a container tucked away on a lower shelf—unfinished porcelain pieces in gray-blue, soft gold, and deep green that I started last year.

Last year was heavy, and life changed for my family and me in ways that feel permanent. For months, those pieces sat untouched. But laying them out on the worktable this week felt different. I spent the day wandering around the studio, glancing back at them, letting them settle. I wondered what stories they carried, how they belonged together, and what feeling I wanted them to bring to you when you wear them.

Names like The Quiet Bloom, Winter’s Garden, and Lost & Forgotten crossed my mind. They felt good, but not quite right.

I stepped outside and walked through my overgrown garden, noticing a few lingering tomatoes still clinging to the vine, before popping back inside. That was when it clicked: Field Notes.

To me, Field Notes carries all of that quiet, evocative weight. It brings to mind pages torn from an artist’s travel journal, rare artifacts and treasures gathered while wandering through new places, and the rhythm of a life deeply inspired by art and exploration.

That is exactly how I want this collection to feel—like a little piece of luxury discovered on your journey.

Imagine walking past an old, charming shop at the edge of town. You weren't looking to buy anything, but through the window, you spotted these lovely porcelain pieces edged in gold. Instead of purchasing right away, you pulled out a little notebook and sketched them—treating those precious objects like observations in your travel diary. You meandered through town, daydreaming about those organic shapes as the day slipped away.

As your trip comes to an end—after days filled with museum visits, art residencies, and quiet reflection—you find your footsteps leading you back to that exact shop. The building is ancient and stunning, making you feel as though you’ve stepped back in time yet returned somewhere familiar.

You walk inside, step up to the display, and read the small card placed beside the pieces:

    The Field Notes Collection

Organic porcelain adorned with gold luster, paired with natural stones, tiny pearls, and Herkimer diamonds strung on gold. Little treasures gathered on your journey.

It turns out these pieces weren't forgotten—they were just waiting for this season to be finished
