Adding to My Wardrobe

Adding to My Capsule Wardrobe

Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the world.  It means so much to me that you are following along on my creative journey.

Today I wanted to share with you a new piece that I added to my capsule wardrobe. The Rose Shift Dress. One fine summer day I finally took the time to create a Little Boxy Dress with Sew In love.

"Sew your own dress and rediscover the joy of handmade." she says.

She is so right! I have this love hate relationship with my sewing machine. There are days that I want to sew everything for my wardrobe. Pants, skirts, dresses! I even watched a youtube channel on how to make your own socks (I haven't tried it yet).  But there is something so satisfying about making your own clothing, picking out the fabrics you love, and knowing the love and care that goes into creating a garment.

There is so much fast fashion out there in the world. I want my clothes to last, be comfortable and made of materials that I feel great in.

I am not much of a print person.  I usually gravitate towards solids, however when I spotted this rose floral print, I knew I wanted to create a simple dress with it. I wish I had added pockets!

As you may have noticed, I'm already planning my spring wardrobe. Soft linens and lovely floral prints. Weekends at the market, and forever working on home projects!

I even created a matching mask!

I've paired my Rose Dress with the Rose Necklace and Studs, however it can pair with any simplistic Blue Rochelle piece!

Do you get out the sewing machine each season and create for your wardrobe? Do you purchase from sustainable brands? I'd love to see how you pair your Blue Rochelle pieces! Lets connect.

xoxo,
Tisha
