Everlasting Love / Amour Éternel
Through the ups and downs, highs and lows, you are my everlasting love.
I knew that I wanted cute moon dishes, dainty pendants, and tiny gold wrapped studs. I was drawn to the stars in the night sky. I would take a glimpse upwards as I walked to the studio, or getting ready to load or unload the kiln, being fueled by this unexplainable energy. Slowly over the course of a few months, I hand rolled and glazed each dish, each pendant, each piece. The Everlasting Love Collection began to take shape.
I played with several names for this collection, but with the help of a dear friend, The Everlasting Love Collection felt so right! As per usual, I dove deeper into those words "Everlasting Love", saying them over in my head.
In the bible: "The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love". As I read those words, I felt my grandparents near, felt the strength to continue on my creative journey, feeling loved and blessed to have grown so much. (but I have so much more to learn and grow into).
Everything that I create is made with love and heart. Feelings and emotions. Organic and wonky as each piece maybe, it's part of me, and I hope it becomes apart of you and your journey.
I am so very grateful to get up each day, push through the highs and lows, and create beautiful, enchanting and a bit whimsical pieces to share with you.
So what about those blue wavy vases, bowls and trinket dishes? What do they have to do with the stars and the moon and everlasting love? Well, they were actually the first pieces that I visioned. I wanted to challenged myself a little bit more with hand building, and I was day dreaming about a trip that we took to Myrtle Beach many moons ago. Our room overlooked the ocean, you could hear the waves crashing. It was just so peaceful and a fun trip! So that is why we have blue vases, along side dainty moon and stars. All part of this beautiful universe!
