What Path Will You Take?

Hi.  Thank you so much for stopping by my little corner of the world. It means so much to me.  Lets have a little chat about life paths.  Grab a cup of coffee, sit back and relax!

I always thought I was on the right path.  Good grades, college, career, married, home, kids and that is life.  But I've always had this desire to create something more with this life I've been given.  I wanted to do more then those typical things so I added a new path to my life.  The path of not only wife, and mom, but business woman.  Entrepreneur. Constant learner.

I began about a year ago when I told myself, I would take classes that peaked my interest.  I didn't want to go back to the traditional college or university setting.  I have a full time job, and do all the other things so a traditional setting would not fit into my life.  So I took a a class on a Saturday morning with my son at a non-profit organization in my home town.  It was hand building ceramics.  I had no idea what I was doing.  I hadn't used clay sense high school art class.  I instantly fell in love with the feel of the material, how it smelled like dirt, and how you could create a beautiful vessel from a lump of clay.

I did not go to college for ceramics.  My background is in Fashion Design,  Product Development, and Quality Assurance.  But there was something about it that I just gravitated towards.  Molding and shaping the clay with my bare hands instantly made me happy. The smell of dirt reminded me of my garden, and the hours that my grandpa would spend it his. I just connected with it.

You are never to old to find a new path in life.  Take a few classes like I did, try out a bunch like I did and see what sticks with you.  It could be sewing! Or hand embroidery, or photography or you may just fall in love with ceramics!  What path will you take?
